I think it is valuable and should be valued by its consumers. Charging for content forces discipline on journalists: they must produce things that people actually value.
I've always believed in people's capacity for goodness. I still believe that people are good. What I'm not so trusting about anymore is their relationship to their own goodness.
If you look at any superior athlete, you will find a strong parental influence. Parents introduce their children to a sport, and then they support them.
