There's a story everywhere. Being bored to death someplace is basically a funny proposition. What you have to watch out for is you don't write a boring story about a boring place.
Television is certainly a writers-led medium. They're the ones who are there, they're the ones that are conferencing or whatever, with directors coming and going.
So I'm not really quite sure what Landis' plans were to make another one. The American Werewolf in Paris was a completely separate story.
