The happiness of every country depends upon the character of its people, rather than the form of its government.
Hitchhiking was such a pure form of existence. You'd wake up in the morning, and you'd have no idea what your day was going to be. And that's something I've never been able to shake. I loved that.
People never knew we were poor, but out of that poverty came the most incredible inventions - board games, recipes... we never stopped inventing.
