As I have practiced it, photography produces pleasure by simplicity. I see something special and show it to the camera. A picture is produced. The moment is held until someone sees it. Then it is theirs.

It seems to be a law of nature, inflexible and inexorable, that those who will not risk cannot win.
It's also a more personal medium. It seems to go directly to one's brain. There are no pictures to distract.
