Going to the movies was a big event in my youth. My father would be the initiator - he'd have me put on a jacket to see a film.
				I've never believed much in that holding hands kind of love. I've always thought that love is about two different personalities trying to confront life, trying to make sense of their responsibilities, to themselves, to each other, and to the wider society.			
				
			Everything in my career is my decision - every picture, every outfit. You get one chance at this, and I never saw myself as being a puppet.
