If we don't believe in Americans, who will? I do believe. I've seen it in the people of our very typical corner of the nation.

Individually the poor are not too tempting to thieves, for obvious reasons. Mug a banker and you might score a wallet containing a month's rent. Mug a janitor and you will be lucky to get away with bus fare to flee the crime scene.
There is nothing in the genius of America more precious today than the spirit of religious and political tolerance in its application to our own people.
