I never suffered from the absence of a father. On the contrary, as a child I was more inclined to see men as a disturbing factor. It made things difficult for me when I started working as a director.
I had a vocal coach. It's a sad thing, but I had to hire someone so that I could get my Australian accent back.
I went to school for special education. I always assumed when I had the opportunity I would love to try and help kids with disabilities.
