Having a child changes everything. All of a sudden you have so much to lose, so much to live for.
I am attached to the west coast of Scotland - it's gorgeous to look at and challenging. You have to contend with the possibility of being blown away or rained on. And in the summer months you can be eaten alive by midges.
I certainly look at the modern guys and think they are a different species to when we played. They are fitter and their conditioning is extraordinary.
