I don't see a candidate on the scene right now, but it is going to have to be a candidate that people can look at as a leader and not as a man or a woman.
I think it has other roots, has to do, in part, with a general anxiety in contemporary life... nuclear bombs, inequality of possibility and chance, inequality of goods allotted to us, a kind of general racist, unjust attitude that is pervasive.
Nevertheless, one doesn't have time to think, oh, well, this is a quarter tone sharp, or flat.
