I think I knew acting was what I wanted to do. But I was from this small town and there was no place for an adult to recognise it.
As Indiana's governor, I balanced eight budgets, never raised taxes, and left the largest surplus in state history. It wasn't always easy. Cuts had to be made and some initiatives deferred. Occasionally I had to say 'no.'
I paint according to the moment and the theme. I don't have any prejudice. Life concerns me.
