I read the Odyssey because it was the story of a man who returned home after being absent for more than twenty years and was recognized only by his dog.
I love mixing with comedians when I'm working with them, but when I'm not I don't feel the need to hang around with them.
I guess you can stay sort of true to the story; you don't have to artificially bring the character back from whatever doom you've designed for them, you can tell the story, I suppose, honestly.
