I believe that the writer should tell a story. I believe in plot. I believe in creating characters and suspense.
If I'm racist, don't think I would have directed shows like 'The Parkers' and 'The Wayans Brothers' or worked 41 episodes with Victoria Rowell on 'Diagnosis: Murder.'
With my plays, when the lights go down, at least the audience isn't thinking, 'Oh, God, two more hours of this.'
