If you've been married for 400 years, as I have, it's nice to experience first love again and you can vicariously through a book.
I didn't know folk music growing up, no. It's something I've come to study, really, because I think there's so much to learn from traditional music in the sense of the way music began as a way of communication, the traveling storyteller, the bard, the minstrels.
Now, the downside to conservation is that so much is done for the public, which almost always mars the environment that one wanted to conserve.
