I made the tenor sax - there's nobody plays like me and I don't play like anybody else.
In fact, I spent 25 years as a reporter, swearing I would never become an editor. Sitting at a desk, watching other people go out and find the story, and then fussing with other people's words - I just didn't get the appeal of that.
It was never physically dangerous except when I nearly fell off a horse, but it was physically arduous - especially when you were working late at night.
