I no longer teach law. But when I did I advised my students that they should never accept a case if it meant that by doing so you couldn't sleep at night.
I don't know of any cases where as a result of religious precepts a population have found themselves enjoying less food than they would have if they didn't follow this particular religion.
The only things that haven't worked for me are when I've held back. There's no reason to sell an idea short. The only risk would be to not fulfill the dream.
